How CheckNuh works

Customers find what they need from businesses across Jamaica. Businesses reach those customers with verified stores and professional product photos. Here's each side, step by step.

Everything here happens in the CheckNuh app.

  1. Search

    Type what you're looking for, like "fridge" or "Samsung TV under 70k". Results from businesses across Jamaica show up nearest to you first. No account needed.

  2. Check

    Sort by price, compare the same product from different businesses, and save listings you like.

  3. Contact the business

    Create a free account to message or call a business on CheckNuh and get directions to their store. Results marked Visit Site are other stores; they open on the store's own website.

  4. Get it

    Buy directly from the business. You pay them and arrange pickup or delivery with them; CheckNuh never takes a cut.

For businesses

From sign-up to your first sale.

Every business on CheckNuh is run by a verified owner. That's what makes customers comfortable reaching out.

    Create your business account

    Enter your business name, email and a password, then confirm with the 6-digit code we email you.

  2. In the app

    Verify your business

    Add your legal name, business name and a photo of your government ID, or your Companies Office of Jamaica business certificate if you can't present ID. Every business is cross-referenced with the Companies Office of Jamaica. A member of our team reviews it and emails you the result.

    Choose a plan

    Pick Basic, Plus or Pro through the App Store or Google Play, or enter a coupon code if CheckNuh gave you one.

  4. In the app

    List your products

    Snap the barcode, add photos, set your price and town. Add several items in one go and publish them together. Your own photos must show one product, be clean, and be labelled with the product's name and details (see the photo rules).

  5. In the app

    Chat and sell

    Customers message you in the app. You handle the sale, payment and delivery directly with them.

A listing with photos you took yourself is checked by our team before it's posted, which can take some time. Listings with professional photos from the Photo Studio are posted straight away.

Start on your computer, finish on your phone.

The website is the fastest way to get a large batch of product photos into CheckNuh. Making the professional photos, and paying for them, happens in the app.

    Sign in and upload

    Open the Photo Studio, sign in with your business account and drag in your photos. Upload as many as you need at once.

  2. Your CheckNuh account

    Saved, not stored on your PC

    Each photo goes straight to your CheckNuh account. Close the browser or turn off your computer and nothing is lost.

    Pick them up in the app

    Sign in to the app with the same account. On Upload Item, your website photos are waiting; tap one to use it.

    Make professional photos

    Add a front photo and a second angle, then create professional shots. You pay for them in the app, never on the website.

How long photos are kept: photos you upload are kept for 15 days. If they haven't been turned into professional photos in the app by then, they're deleted automatically. Photos you've processed, or used in a listing, are kept.
